They have co-hosted events at iconic local venues such as Eighteenth Street Lounge, Flash, The Kennedy Center, and popular bi-monthly outdoor gatherings in Dupont Circle, Washington DC.

Yasseen’s artistic philosophy centers on understanding movement through the study of music. Their current research explores Black American music dating back to the Blues era, alongside Moroccan and Sudanese musical traditions from their heritage, examining individual musicians' stories to deepen the connection between sound and dance. Believing that dance is a gift accessible to everyone, Yasseen strives to realize this vision through every class and performance.

Yasseen studied Fine Arts at Virginia Commonwealth University. Bringing over a decade of experience in private sector operations, leadership, and management, Yasseen is proud to serve as the Operations and Administration Coordinator for The International Association of Blacks in Dance (IABD).
