IABD's Learning Magnet brings together dance artists and administrators from across the country through educational sessions in nonprofit arts management and leadership development.This six-month program includes a full-day workshop at the IABD Annual International Conference and Festival of Blacks in Dance in January along with access to top leadership trainers and a diverse cross-generational cohort of peers.
The Learning Magnet uses a comprehensive curriculum that addresses advocacy, budgeting, evaluation, fundraising, governance, marketing, programming and strategic planning. Core and unique to this program is the support offered to those leading organizations and/or developing their own artistry.
