The International Association of Blacks in Dance (IABD) announces employment and fellowship/internship opportunities within the organization at their new location in Silver Spring, MD.

Development and Fundraising Manager (FTE)

The International Association of Blacks in Dance (IABD) is seeking an organized, responsible, and detail-oriented individual to support the activities of the Development and Fundraising Department on a full-time basis. This department is responsible for generating contributed revenue, building and sustaining relationships with individual, corporate, foundation, and government donors to generate the funds needed to support the ongoing work of IABD. Reporting to and in partnership with the President and CEO, the Development and Fundraising Manager will assist with identifying opportunities, building relationships with donors, and securing the funding needed to support IABD’s rapid growth. A new position in the organization, the Manager will be responsible for prospect research and proposal writing, as well as participate in joint fundraising-efforts across the organization.

Bookkeeper (PTE)

The International Association of Blacks in Dance (IABD) is seeking an organized, responsible, detailed oriented individual for a part time bookkeeping position. The bookkeeper performs a variety of general accounting support tasks for a rapidly growing organization. Support tasks include but are not limited to reporting and data entry, posting, and timely and accurate processing of accounts payable, receivable and basic reconciliations. It is envisioned that the person in this role will work from the IABD office from time-to-time. However, much of the work can be accomplished remotely with internet access.

The International Association of Blacks in Dance (IABD) offers a unique opportunity and experience to assist with the development and growth of this one-of-a-kind service organization.
