Rulan Tangen and Dancing Earth's
Seed Re: Generation
FREE Event, no tickets required.
2018–2019 Kennedy Center Citizen Artist Fellow Rulan Tangen and Dancing Earth’s work,…SEEDS: RE GENERATION…, explores movement as an evolving language of intertribalism rooted in diverse indigenous cosmologies, in functional ritual for transformation and healing, animating decolonization process, integrating concurrent universes of ancient futurities in the moment of now, and expressing energetic connection with all relations—human and beyond.
Beyond performance, their work creates opportunities for Indigenous cultural acknowledgement and exchange through dance-theater performances, workshops, lectures, and interdisciplinary community engagement that ranges from cultural protocols with host First Nations at every location, to seed planting in local community gardens! They ignite connections with cross-sectional identities, ecology, and nature.
Note: There is no free parking when attending free events.
