The Emergency Fund was first established in 1991 for IABD artists and companies. Today, IABD is providing limited and short-term assistance through its fund to Artists, related Dance personnel and Dance organizations, who are able to demonstrate financial need. Individuals will receive $1,000; organizations will receive $2,500.

The fund is is made possible by the generous support of the Ford Foundation, Howard Gilman Foundation, Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, Mertz Gilmore Foundation, #DanceToTheMusic: Debbie Allen and JaQuel Knight, and individual supporters.
