Welcome Conference Delegates!

As the proud hosts of the 25th Annual International Association of Blacks in Dance Conference (IABD), “Celebrating our Legacy…Embracing our Future”, Baltimore Dance Tech, DC Youth Ensemble, and Howard University/Images of Cultural Artistry staff hope you find this year’s conference a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you will cherish. You can look forward to four full days of dance with the aim of gaining the tools you need to further your own personal and professional development. We look forward to your participation, and hope you give us feedback throughout the process.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

  • Conference attendees are strongly encouraged to pre-register for the event.
  • Onsite registrations and conference materials are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
  • Conference registrations are confirmed when registrations forms and payments are received and processed.
  • There are no refunds.
  • Add-ons such as dance classes and the midnight bantaba will be available onsite only January 24-27, 2013.

INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION

GROUP REGISTRATION

  • A Group is defined as 15 or more participants.
  • All Groups must register through Howard University/Images of Cultural Artistry by phone at 202.806.5408 or by emailing iabd25@iabdassociation.org with your information.
  • Each Registrant must complete a registration form.
  • Group leaders must provide a complete list of attendees, forms and method of payment.
  • Group discounts are subject to conference deadlines and payments must be received before deadline is over.
  • NO GROUP RATES AFTER JANUARY 10, 2013.

IABD MEMBER REGISTRATION

  • Registrants wishing to get the IABD Membership rate need to be a 2012 IABD member.
  • All 2012 IABD Members will be confirmed through the IABD Administrative Office at Howard University.

MONEY EXCHANGE AND RATES

PAYMENT POLICY

Credit card Payments

  • The credit card will be charged immediately upon registration.
  • Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover only) payments are accepted.
  • A ticketing fee of $10 will be charged for every conference registration purchased.

Money orders and bank drafts

  • NO CASH OR PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED. DO NOT SEND CASH BY MAIL!
  • Payment for all registrations must be made in full prior to the conference and received before the deadline.
  • Money Orders and Bank Drafts should be in American Dollars only and made payable to :

  • All registration fees are FINAL and are available on a limited first come/first serve basis. No refunds will be given by the IABD, Baltimore Dance Tech, DC Youth Ensemble or Howard University/Images of Cultural Artistry.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

  • Participant contact information will be part of a database only accessible to the Conference Team and IABD.

PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEOTAPING

  • Taking photographs or using video equipment other than for personal use at the IABD Conference is prohibited and violators will be removed from the premises. Only the official photographer will be authorized to take photographs.
